With highly-rated schools, close proximity to Highway 26, Beaverton, and downtown, Rockcreek is a popular neighborhood in Northwest Portland. It sits between the Northwest Cornelius Pass Road and NW. 185th Ave. between Highway 26 and NW. West Union Rd. The entire center of the community is the Rock Creek Country Club, the predominant landmark in this community. Surrounding our homes, shops, and its adjacent to the Liberty high school. The Rock Creek Recreational Facility and the Rock Creek Portland Community College campus is also located just outside the neighborhood bounds.

While Rock Creek is technically a neighborhood it's also an unincorporated community, which does not have its own municipal government. Government services and emergency services are provided by a number of the neighboring districts such as the Hillsboro school district and Beaverton school District, Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue as well as Hillsboro Fire & Rescue and Washington County Fire District 2.

Rock Creek Country Club is the most prominent landmark in the center of this community. This premier Northwest golf course, driving range, and wedding and event center was founded in the 1950s and was originally a private course designed to be built to aid the marketing and sales of new homes and to enhance the beauty of the area. Many of the amenities include a golf course, local driving range, pro shop, and a great venue for events and weddings.

This family-friendly and challenging course features an 18 hole course, a beautiful setting, and it's been known as one of Portland's best-kept golf secrets. The course has three PGA pros who are highly competitive in the Pacific Northwest Tournaments and Junior Programs. They have an active social event calendar, festivals and club events, and German holiday market open to the public every Christmas.

Rock Creek Schools

As mentioned above, Rock Creek draws in services and amenities from all surrounding areas. Most students attend Lenox or Rock Creek elementary school, JW Poynter or Stoller middle school, and Liberty or Westview high school. The high school receives excellent reviews and ratings from students and parents alike. Parents really have an affluent choice to make when choosing where their kids can go either with the Hillsboro or Beaverton school district. Regardless, most schools ranked fairly high with good ratings and reviews.
